The "Sandalwood Bamboo" kogarasu maru features a T10 steel blade with differential hardening (hamon), combining strength and flexibility. The blade is hand-polished with a mirror finish and includes both large and small grooves for improved balance and design. Measuring 78 cm in total length (with scabbard), with a blade length of 52 cm, a handle length of 23 cm, and a blade width of 3.2 cm, it weighs approximately 0.96 kg. The scabbard is crafted from red lacquered wood, paired with a detailed sageo, and the fittings are made from aged white copper with intricate bamboo-themed carvings. This piece balances traditional aesthetics with functional craftsmanship.
