Samurai Sword Rayskin Panels for Katana, Wakizashi, Ninjato, Tanto Swords

Rayskin panels refer to sections of rayskin that are applied only to the sides of the handle (tsuka) of a katana or similar swords. These panels are typically set in place before the handle is wrapped with a cord (tsuka-ito). Rayskin panels provide a more economical option while still offering some of the benefits of rayskin, such as added texture and a better grip. They are visible through the openings in the cord wrap and add a traditional touch to the handle's design.
