The Lvying Katana features a blade forged from high-quality T10 steel, meticulously polished by hand and crafted using traditional techniques. This katana showcases a stunning Hitatsura Hamon (皆烧刃纹), a full-length tempering pattern that extends across the entire blade. The intricate and wild flame-like design is unique to each sword, making every piece one-of-a-kind. The Hitatsura Hamon adds a dynamic, visually striking appearance and demonstrates the high level of skill required for its creation.
The fittings include a robust copper tsuba, enhancing both elegance and durability. The handle is wrapped with genuine rayskin, providing a secure and authentic grip. Measuring 103 cm in total length, the katana features a blade length of 71 cm, a handle length of 27 cm, and a blade width of 3.2 cm.
The scabbard is made from solid wood with a vibrant green finish and incorporates polished buffalo horn accents at the koi-guchi (scabbard mouth), kurikata (knob), and koiguchi (rim). The katana is complemented by a coarsely woven sageo and a matching green handle wrap, enhancing the traditional aesthetic and unique craftsmanship of this exceptional piece.
