Description

The "Guihai " Katana features a 26-inch lacquered solid wood scabbard and a full steel clay-tempered blade. The blade undergoes 16 stages of hand polishing and is suitable for test cutting, effortlessly slicing through grass mats and hemp ropes. This katana strikes a perfect balance between strength and flexibility, offering exceptional value for money. The sword has a total length of 103 cm, with a blade length of 74 cm and a handle length of 26 cm. The blade has a thickness of 0.7 cm at the base and 0.51 cm at the tip, with a blade width of 3.17 cm at the base and 2.5 cm at the tip. It features a 2.1 cm curve, with a wavy "Rantō" hamon pattern and a "Komaru" tip. The blade has a hardness of 58-59 HRC. The scabbard is made from lacquered solid wood with a blue finish, and the fittings include an alloy tsuba with a bamboo theme. The sword weighs 1.4 kg in total, with a net weight of 1.1 kg. Crafted using traditional sword-making techniques, the blade undergoes forging, heating, hammering, filing, polishing, quenching, tempering, and hand finishing to ensure quality and performance.
