Description
The Canyun Spring Steel Blood-Groove Edition features a large V-shaped blade, flat and sharp with minimal resistance for slicing and chopping. The blade design gradually widens from the blade base to the tip while tapering in thickness for balanced handling. It is oil- and water-quenched for high elasticity and hardness.
Specifications: Total length of 103 cm, blade length of 72 cm, handle length of 27 cm, width of 3.2-2.8 cm, and thickness of 0.7-0.5 cm. Made from spring steel, with 14 stages of hand polishing, and a hardness rating of 58 HRC. The scabbard is crafted from lacquered hardwood, and the fittings are alloy. Total weight is approximately 1400 grams, with a net weight of around 1000 grams. The blade is forged from a single piece, using traditional techniques, including forging, heating, hammering, filing, polishing, quenching, tempering, and hand grinding.
Performance: Capable of cutting through bamboo and tatami mats.
